Faculty and staff gather for Convocation

On Thursday, August 12th, Madison Christian School employees gathered together for Faculty and Staff Convocation.

The staff began by worshiping with a faculty-led praise team followed by a devotion message from Rev. Paul Barnes, Lead Minister of Madison Christian Church.

Head of School Mike Egenreider led a Communion meditation focusing on Leviticus 20:7, “Consecrate yourselves and be holy, because I am the Lord your God. Keep my decrees and follow them. I am the Lord, who makes you holy.” The staff and faculty then participated in Communion together to consecrate the start of the new school year.

Fifteen new staff and faculty were introduced, including Bethany De La Cruz, a Licensed Professional Christian Counselor who will be on campus 4 days a week to serve the MCS Community.

Department Chairs were introduced and the following Longevity Awards were recognized:

  • 10 Year Longevity Award: Jennifer M. Ladd
  • 5 Year Longevity Award: Cheryl L. Falls, Alissa A. Harris, Joshua T. Harris, Luann Hodges, Carolyn E. Hollopeter, Stephanie Sprague, and Kimberly V. Stewart

Employees also participated in Faculty Orientation and various trainings to prepare for the start of the school year. The MCS faculty and staff have been praying for the students and are excited to welcome them for the first day of school on Wednesday, August 18th!
