Come cheer on the Eagles at the 9th Annual Marion & Ruth Gray Cross Country Invitational on Saturday, September 25 at Madison Christian School!
Marion & Ruth were founding members of Madison Christian Church and donated the land where our campus stands today. Marion served in WWII as a combat medic on the beaches of Normandy. This year, in honor of Marion’s service to our country, a portion of the proceeds will be donated to Motts Military Museum, where he was a great supporter of the work done there.
Race Schedule:
9:00 AM -- HS Boys 5K
9:45 AM -- HS Girls 5K
10:30 AM -- MS Boys 2 mile
11:00 AM -- MS Girls 2 mile
NOTE: There will be a $5 parking fee per car.
T-shirts:
T-shirts (both short and long sleeve) are now on sale on the MCS School Store. The deadline to order is Sunday, September 19 at 11:59 PM. When ordering, please put your student’s name and grade level (or your affiliation with MCS) in the “notes” section to help us with sorting for delivery. Shirts can be picked up the day of the race or will be sent home with your student the following week.
Volunteers Needed:
We are in need of volunteers, as it takes many to make this a successful event. This includes course monitors, parking attendants, finish line help, t-shirt table, etc. This event has grown over the years. That day we will be hosting 11 middle school teams and 12 high school teams. Come be a part of this exciting day! We will need approximately 12-15 volunteers per race.
