In November, Ohio Christian University held a Scholars Day competition to award three Commitment to Excellence Full-Tuition Scholarships.
After an application process and three rounds of interviews, Madison Christian School Senior Kiley Wray was selected as one of the three scholarship recipients. To be eligible, students needed a 3.5 GPA or higher, a 25 ACT or 1210 SAT score or higher, and be accepted to OCU's campus program. They also needed to show their commitment to excellence and outstanding character by submitting community service involvement and activities, two letters of recommendation, and a 1500-word essay.
At Madison Christian, Kiley helps lead praise and worship for school chapels, completes service projects as a part of National Honor Society, and serves as a volunteer coach with her school’s youth sports program. Kiley is also the founder and director of Hoops and Jesus, a youth basketball clinic program. In this program, students get to grow in their basketball skills while also growing closer to God.
After graduation, Kiley will attend Ohio Christian University where she plans to play basketball and major in education.
