Classical Christian Education

DEVELOPING THE WHOLE CHILD

Madison Christian School assists parents in biblically training their children by offering succinct and consistent Christ-centered and classical academic instruction and virtue formation.

We seek to form students’ souls to know and love God’s truth, goodness, and beauty through time-tested content and teaching practices developing the whole child in a thoroughly Christian atmosphere.

OUR CLASSICAL CHRISTIAN APPROACH

GRAMMAR STAGE | GRADES K-5

In Grades K-5, we utilize children’s love of song and repetition to help them memorize fundamentals in various subjects to build a vast base of information. Students will find a fun and challenging curriculum that includes Bible, reading, writing, math, history, science, and early Latin concepts taught by caring teachers who engage in a Christ-like manner.

LOGIC STAGE | GRADES 6-8

In Grades 6-8, we make the most of the developmental stage when students begin to question things and are naturally more argumentative. They learn to think critically, form an argument with wisdom and eloquence, and deliver it respectfully.

We continue to challenge our Middle and High School students to become more engaged, self-advocating learners via a thoroughly Christian education including Bible, English, math, science, history, literature, and language.

RHETORIC STAGE | GRADES 9-12

In Grades 9-12, students are armed with facts about the world and have learned to determine truths and fallacies. During this stage, they become independent thinkers and practice persuasive speaking and effective writing as they seek to become winsome and eloquent in their expression. While they pursue distinct areas of study, the integration of their education comes full circle as they seek to make sense of the world through a Biblical worldview.

PORTRAIT OF A GRADUATE

Madison Christian School seeks to provide an education that will serve as a foundation for living as faithful disciples of Christ. Our approach is oriented toward the outcomes of our Portrait of a Graduate.

LITERATURE LISTS

"People wonder why the novel is the most popular form of literature; people wonder why it is read more than books of science or books of metaphysics. The reason is very simple; it is merely that the novel is more true than they are."

– G.K. Chesterton
