Spiritual Formation Overview
Developing strong Christian leaders
From the classroom to the athletic field, Madison Christian School exists to glorify God and to nurture His children by helping them grow into strong Christian leaders. That's why God's Word of Truth permeates everything we do.
In the Classroom:
Our teachers and staff are passionate about God's Truth and investing in the next generation of Christian leaders. In addition to every student having a Bible class, MCS takes a classical Christian approach in that each subject is integrated around the Truth that God is the Creator and all knowledge is interrelated and points back to Him. In Weekly Chapel:
Starting in Kindergarten, our students worship together in a weekly chapel designed to help them encounter God and grow spiritually based on their age level:
Primary School Chapel (Grades K-2)
Elementary School Chapel (Grades 3-5)
Middle School Chapel (Grades 6-8)
High School Chapel (Grades 9-12)
In Serving:
Service to others and ministry opportunities are critical to spiritual formation by helping students to consider the needs of others before themselves. MCS offers numerous opportunities for students to serve including mission trips, service projects, ministry groups, and an annual Day of Service. Students may also be involved in service and ministry opportunities outside of MCS. The following table outlines the minimum number of service hours to be completed for each grade.
